Kansas City's Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) program accepts, manages and recycles or safely disposes excess or unwanted household chemicals from residents, as well as hazardous materials from city facilities.
The HHW facility is located at the Environmental Campus, 4707 Deramus Ave. Call 816-513-8400.
- Household Hazardous Waste Drop-off
The facility is open for drop-off of household hazardous waste from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursdays, Fridays with no appointments.
and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday with no appointments. - Swap Shop
Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, and Friday extended hours 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. - Mobile HHW Collection Events
The City works with other regional cities to provide
mobile HHW collection events throughout the region.
