The Swap Shop is operated by the City's Household Hazardous Waste Program and offers reusable products from people who no longer need them to other residents who do. It's located at the HHW facility, 4707 Deramus. Those wishing to donate to the Swapshop must make a drop off appointment. Call 816-513-8400, Tuesday through Saturday to arrange a drop off date and time.Products typically available at the Swap Shop include:
- Household paint
- Automotive paint
- Oil
- Antifreeze
- Spray paint
- Fertilizers
- Miscellaneous craft items, etc.
All household products are free except paint when provided in five-gallon buckets. Five-gallon buckets of paint are $15 per bucket. Color selection is limited -- usually just white, off-white, blue and beige. However, we ask that you call the facility at 816-513-8400 to check on availability and the possibility of other colors, which occasionally are available.
The Swap Shop is open to anyone, including residents, not-for-profit organizations, contractors, etc., Tuesday through Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. unless posted. Call for details at 816-513-8400.
All items in the Swap Shop are available on a first-come, first-served basis. We regret that we cannot hold products for anyone, nor can we advise you what is currently on hand.
