Welcome to the Brookside Watershed Improvement Program Online Information Center.

This site was developed to provide the Brookside community up-to-date information about the upcoming storm drainage and sanitary sewer improvements to the Brookside Watershed Area. This site also provides information about the citizens' role in reducing area flooding and sanitary sewer back-ups.

In an effort to alleviate flooding in the Brookside Area, the City of Kansas City, Missouri is working with local engineers to study and design projects to address Brookside's storm drainage and sanitary sewer concerns. To learn more about the improvement program, go to the Project Overview section of the website.

This website will be updated as projects proceed, so check back to get the most current information about the project. To learn how you can provide input, select Public Meetings in the navigation menu.

In the long-run, these public improvements will provide increased protection against flooding and sanitary sewer back-ups. Storm drains and sanitary sewers will be enlarged, but because these pipes are located in yards and in streets, some short-term inconveniences may be inevitable. Your patience and cooperation are greatly appreciated. To find out more about construction activities go to the Construction Alert area of the website.
