Two leaf and brush drop-off sites are provided for the convenience of City residents. These sites are open March 19, 2011 through Jan. 21, 2012. The City also has curbside leaf and brush collection designated throughout the year.
UPDATED 11/1/2011: The Chouteau drop-off location is now open Wednesday through Sunday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. While drop-off is still free for residents on Saturday, residents who use this service on the alternative days will be charged a small fee. It will cost $1 ($1.50 non-residents) for each lawn and leaf sack or plastic bag. Loose leaves and brush will cost $5/cubic yard ($8.33 non-residents). Most full-sized trucks with material in the bed will range from $13-$25 depending on how much material is brought. The Raytown site has not expanded its operation and is open Saturdays only. More.
Additional rules and information
- Proof of residency using a valid driver's license or state issued ID is required.
- Drop-offs from commercial enterprises will not be accepted.
- Grandview and Raytown residents may use the sites with a voucher purchased from their respective municipalities
- Only leaves, yard waste and brush (including tree trimmings) are accepted. Grass clippings are not accepted
- You may bring leaves in paper yard-waste bags. If you seal your bags, use masking tape only. Do not use duct tape or other plastic tape.
- You may be asked to empty bags to show that there is no trash.
- Sites are attended. Sites may be under camera or personal surveillance when not in operation. If you see anyone dumping at these sites, please report date, time and description of vehicle and people to the Action Center, (816) 513-1313.
