Adoption Agreement

_______________________________________ (Name of Organization) hereby agrees to pick up litter on both sides of _________________________ in Kansas City from_____________(ST.) to ___________(ST.) approximately every 45 days. This agreement is good for one year from the above date and may be cancelled at any time by the City of Kansas City, Missouri at its discretion.

The Adopter will advise the City at least 24 hours in advance of performing any work on the right of way of the above location.

The Adopter agrees to advise the members of its organization of potential hazards of working on or near street right-of-ways. The Adopter will ensure that all workers’ vehicles will be parked off the roadway during a cleanup.

The City of Kansas City will provide orange safety vests and trash bags. Filled trash bags will be picked up immediately after any scheduled litter pick-up.

The City will provide identification signs at each end of the adopted roadway, a press release naming the organization as the adopter of said roadway and publicity in the Kansas City Star.
