Kansas City, Missouri Parks and Recreation has programs for people of all ages and abilities.  From aerobics to social groups, each community center offers programs unique to the seniors in our community.  Meet new friends, try new things, and share your talents with others.

This is a time for Seniors to enjoy socializing, planning activities, playing cards and taking a leisure walk in the gymnasium.

Seniors on the Move
"Seniors on the Move" is a great way to make friends.  Participants enjoy activities such as exercising, field trips, Holiday celebrations, games, community activities and special-interest classes.

Silver Sneakers
An instructional chair exercise class for patrons who are members of Humana Health Care over the age of 50.  Seniors engage in routines to improve strength, endurance, flexibility, balance and coordination.

Senior Stretch
Low impact workout such as cardio-walking in place, optional running in place, arm exercisea, chair crunches, leg lifts and squats.

Senior Luncheon
Provides a nutritional meal for the 60 plus population.  Sponsored by Mid-America Regional Council for Aging.

$2 for members/ $5 for non-members

Silver Sneakers
The SilverSneakers program is a walking and exercise program developed for seniors. SilverSneakers offers an innovative blend of physical activity, healthy lifestyle and socially-oriented programming that allows older adults to take greater control of their health.

Golden Age Meeting
Meet us on the 1st Friday and bring a sack lunch.  The 3rd Friday is pot luck, bring a covered dish, stay and play bingo after lunch.

Come join the early risers and enjoy a morning walk in our spacious gym.

Senior Cardio/ Weight Room
Our cardio equipment includes treadmills, elliptical, upright and recumbent bikes and stairstep machines.  You can strengthen and tone all major muscle groups on the circuit machines or functional trainer.  Free weight equipment includes a half rack, smith machine and dumbbells from 5-100 lbs.  Staff is available to help you learn the equipment.
$15 monthly/ $5 daily
