This is a time for participants to enjoy playing basketball.

SMART Career Club (Students Motivated to Achieve and Resist Truancy)*
Tuesday, 6 - 8 p.m.
Ages 16 and older
This career mentoring program teaches young people the importance of staying in school and being a healthy student and worker. Group projects include High School Tutors Club; career education and exploration session; monthly career concerts; job readiness training and internship placement..
The Fun Walk at "The Creek"
Saturday, June 15
8 a.m. to Noon
Take part in the first annual Fun Walk along the beautiful Brush Creek walk-way. Walk from the center to the Plaza and back. Each participant receives a T-shirt; Strollers are welcome. Registration deadline is June 10.
T - Ball and Machine Pitch Baseball
April 23 - June 15
$40 per player, includes ball cap and T-shirt.
age 5 - 6
T-Ball is a fun way for boys and girls to learn basic baseball rules, develop game skills, good sportmanship and teamwork.
Machine Pitch Baseball:
ages 7 - 8
Learn good sportsmanship, fair play and fun as part of a machine pitch team. All participants get the opportunity to hit off a pitching machine to assist in developing strong hitting and build basic game skills.
Practice begins April 23
Gillham Park, 41st Street and Gillam Rd.
Monday, 6 - 6:45 p.m.
Games will begin on Saturday, May 18.
15 player maximum. Child will receive a t-shirt and ball cap. Parents will need to provide a baseball glove and water bottle for your child. Children must meet the age requirement of 5 or 7 year of age by April 23. call 816-513-0736 for more information.
