The Neighborhood Preservation Division is responsible for enforcing the City's nuisance code and property maintenance code. Code enforcement helps to improve and stabilize neighborhoods, protect property values and promote a healthier and safer environment.
There is a direct correlation between code violations and crime. Uncorrected code violations also reduce property values and contribute to the appearance of blight and neglect.
