Here are some ideas for helping your neighborhood grow, be strong and healthy, and a vibrant part of your community. Some of these ideas come from local groups and are credited to them.

Project: Neighborhood beautification committee
 
Goal: Improve or maintain the physical appearance of the neighborhood
Recommendations: Elect a chairperson, meet monthly, work with the Neighborhood Preservation Division

Project: Countering property maintenance violations
 
Goal: Abate property maintenance/nuisance code violations without going to court
Recommendations: Send a letter, recruit volunteers, apply for grants

Project: National Night Out
 
Goal: Increase public interaction on National Night Out each August
Recommendations: Invite vendors, provide activities, publicize widely

Goal: Work together with neighborhood/local businesses in your neighborhood
Recommendations: Introduce yourselves, show your worth, ask for help

Goal: Work with and on behalf of youth in the neighborhood to encourage their development within the community on academics, athletics, and civic involvement
