Election Process for the Neighborhood Advisory Council
In the fall of each year, election booklets for the Neighborhood Advisory Council will be mailed to the persons on file with Neighborhood and Community Services who represent neighborhood and homeowner associations registered with the City. Any group whose representative(s) does/do not receive a booklet prior to the KCNAC Candidate Forum (the 2010 Forum was held on Oct. 23) may download the booklet, which will be included as a link on this page when it is ready. Contact the Neighborhood Services Division at 816-513-3200 to let them know that you did not receive a booklet.

To check your group's status in the division's database, visit the online listing or call the division's office at 816-513-3200. All groups must complete the registration process prior to Nov. 1 to receive a ballot for the current year’s election. The ballots are generally sent out during the last two weeks of October or the first week of November, and are due back by the end of November.

Anyone wishing to be a candidate in a Neighborhood Advisory Council election must fill out the candidate application. You may download a copy of the application here.

Applications must be received by 4 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 30, 2011.  Submit completed applications to:

Attn: Tiffany Drummer
Neighborhood and Community Services Department
414 E. 12th St., fourth floor
Kansas City, MO 64106

New members elected to the Neighborhood Advisory Council are notified during the first week in December, pending any challenges or run-off elections, and an orientation session will be held in December for new members.
