City of Kansas City, Mo. Animal Shelter

We are located at 4400 Raytown Road in Kansas City, MO, 64129 just behind the sports stadiums. Our shelter is currently open six days a week, and is operated by the Kansas City Pet Project.


As of Jan. 1, 2012, our new hours are:

• Monday, Closed
• Tuesday, Noon to 6 p.m.
• Wednesday, Noon to 6 p.m.
• Thursday, Noon to 6 p.m.
• Friday, Noon to 6 p.m.
• Saturday, Noon to 5 p.m.
• Sunday, Noon to 5 p.m.

From I-70, take the Blue Ridge Cutoff exit (by the stadiums). Go south to Raytown Road. Go west on Raytown Road for one mile. The shelter will be on the left.
