The Animal Health and Public Safety Division is contracted to provide animal control services for the unincorporated areas of Jackson County and other nearby towns. Residents of unincorporated areas of Jackson County may call the 3-1-1 Action Center at 816-513-1313 for assistance.

Residents of the towns of Buckner, Greenwood, Lone Jack, Levasy, Sibley and Unity Village who need animal control services must call their municipal government for assistance, as the call to the 3-1-1 Action Center must come from an agent of the town.
