The Program Planning and Management Division coordinates housing and community development planning and reporting and serves as the primary U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) City contact within the department. The division also implements single-family new construction, substantial housing rehabilitation, multi-family, public facility, public service and economic development activities as described in the Consolidated Plan.

The Portfolio Management Division is responsible for planning and executing development management activities for real estate owned by the City. The division also administers the KC Dream Home Program and oversees loan servicing agencies for the City's loan portfolio.

The Property Preservation Division improves, repairs and supports the housing stock in Kansas City, Mo., by using home repair programs funded by City, state, federal and private money.

Low Income Housing Tax Credit Prioritization Process
The Housing and Community Development Department has instructions for submittal, schedule and explanation of the complete Low Income Housing Tax Credit Prioritization Process available. If you have already applied for LIHTC, please review the City of Kansas City, Mo., 2011 Priority List for Low Income Housing Tax Credit Projects.
