The HOME Investment Partnerships Program provides grants to states and local governments that are used exclusively for providing affordable, decent housing to low- to moderate income families. There are a variety of ways HOME grants can be used, and often local governments partner with local non-profit organizations to build, buy and/or rehabilitate affordable housing for rent or homeownership.
Kansas City receives approximately $3 million each year from the HOME Investment Partnerships Program.
