The Emergency Home Repair Program is currently not accepting applications.
The Emergency Home Repair Program assists Kansas City, Mo., homeowners who cannot afford to make urgent home repairs.
Eligible applicants receive one service. A Community Development Block Grant established by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development funds this program.
Examples of the work done as part of this program include the following:
- Roofing
- Plumbing – main water line, which may include branch lines and water heater
- Plumbing – sewer main, which may include branch lines
- Electrical systems – service entrance and main panel, which may include branch circuits
- Furnace – repairs and replacements, which may include ductwork (eligible applicants may be assisted by the Home Weatherization Program).
