Stop the spread of germs at work

How are germs spread?
Flu and colds spread from person to person when an infected person coughs or sneezes.

What can I do to stop the spread of germs?

  • Cover your mouth and nose when you sneeze or cough with the bend of your elbow or a tissue.
  • Wash your hands often and well
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth
  • Stay home when you are sick; go to a doctor or clinic when you need to. It is always good to call ahead when you are going to the doctor or clinic so that you can get in right away. The longer you sit in a waiting room, the more people you can infect
  • Practice other good health habits.
