Existing and new facilities within the city limits of Kansas City Missouri that propose to construct or modify an air containment source should complete two original copies of the
construction permit application on yellow sheets, along with detailed calculations of the proposed emission source(s) or equipment. Such calculations shall include the potential emissions, “maximum design rate” of the equipment, the amount of pollutants (PM10, NOx, SOx, VOCs, CO, and HAPS) to be emitted, and the anticipated actual emissions.
All other materials and documents such as MSDS or Screen models must also be included.
A responsible official, owner, VP, or facility manager should sign the application. Information must be submitted to the Air Quality Program at:

Facilities must obtain a construction permit prior to construction of the proposed emission source, and prior to bringing such source onto the premises.
