The General Services Department employs about 200 people who provide services such as Facility Services, Records Management, City Wide Security, Real Estate Services, Procurement Services, Central Fleet, Risk Management and Corporate Safety Management.
The General Services Department enhances the operational efficiency of all City departments. The department's goal is to respect the dignity of all people and conduct all interactions with courtesy and professionalism.
The General Services Department continually strives for excellence in efficient delivery of services by leveraging training, technology, innovation and industry best practices.
