Records are the "memory and nerves" of all governmental operations. We are committed to improving the efficiency and continuity of the City's records operation by utilizing records management principles and tools. We will continue to meet federal, state and City requirements, ensuring that the correct records retentions and administrative, fiscal, legal and historical values are applied. Through education and training we will strive to improve employees' knowledge and reduce the redundancy of paper/electronic files.
This will allow the City to improve its operational efficiency and meet our responsibility to provide records that document the rights of the residents, the actions of the City government that serves them and the history of the community in which they live.
