The General Services' Real Property Services Division was formed in March 2007. The division provides professional, cost efficient, centralized property and lease management for all City departments.
The division manages the acquisition, disposal and real property issues of 1,750 City owned tracts – of which more than 150 are improved with buildings. We also administer City leasing and management of approximately 75 leases the City is involved with.
The goal of the department is to efficiently and effectively carry out our tasks using industry ‘best practices’.
We execute our daily work load keeping in mind best practices with the goals of minimizing costs and maximizing return on investment for the betterment of the residents of the City of Kansas City, Mo.
