The Office of Management and Budget, a division of the Finance department, was established to develop the budget and create an improved management system for the City of Kansas City, Mo.
The staff works with each department to produce the budget and seeks input from residents on how funds should be allocated. The division works to create a more productive and efficient City government by implementing and administering citywide management initiatives to improve the quality of life for residents.
Fiscal Year 2013-2014
The FY 2013-14 Preliminary Budget was presented to the Mayor on Jan. 15, 2013. The Mayor officially transmitted the FY 2013-14 Submitted Budget and his comments to the City Council on Feb. 14, 2013. The City of Kansas City, Mo., Finance, Governance and Ethics Committee held a series of public budget hearings in each of the six City Council districts.
