The Convention Center recently completed a $150 million expansion and technology upgrade. It now features one of the 10 largest convention center ballrooms in the country.  The Kansas City Convention and Entertainment Facilities offers 388,800 square feet of column-free exhibit space on one floor, another 55,000 square feet of additional space on two levels, 45 state of the art meeting rooms, a 46,484 square foot Grand Ballroom, a 2,400-seat fine arts theater, and a renovated arena that can seat more than 10,700 people. The Convention Center has an outdoor plaza and sculpture garden for events up to 2,000 people and a permanent tennis court at Barney Allis Plaza with onsite parking for up to 1,000. It is all connected to major downtown hotels and underground parking by glass-enclosed skywalks and below-ground walkways.
