Zoning Information Bulletins and Interpretations

The following information bulletins, interpretations, text amendments, policies, etc are for the new Zoning and Development Code implementation. These documents are posted here for review and public comments for a 45-day period, based on the notice date indicated. Please provide your comments to planning@kcmo.org or to the specific contact person identified.


Promoting Sustainable Development Practices in Kansas City report

Following is a report titled "Promoting Sustainable Development Practices in Kansas City". This report is based upon work supported in whole or in part, by the Department of Energy-Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy from the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant Program made available pursuant to the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (RECOVERY ACT) of 2009. See inside cover of report for additional information.

The report is a continuation of revisions made to the Zoning & Development Code to promote sustainable development practices.

 


Sustainability amendments

Per agreement with stakeholders, we have agreed to publish any Zoning & Development Code text changes for 45 days, after which the list will be scheduled for review by City Plan Commission and then City Council. As a result of the preceding report, the following Zoning & Development Code text changes are proposed, within the document titled "Sustainability Amendments May 2012". The changes are shown in either red or blue text as underlined; deletions are shown as struck through. To see the revisions, ensure that you are viewing the "marked up" version. Select "Review", "Final Showing Markup".
