Planning and Zoning Committee
The Planning and Zoning Committee of the City Council is one of several standing committees assigned to review zoning and land use ordinances. The committee works to ensure the development of Kansas City, Missouri is planned in accordance with the city's comprehensive plan. This committee conducts public hearings on matters such as adoption of land use plans, zoning regulations, zoning amendments, subdivision plats, street vacations and other matters requiring their review. The recommendation of the committee is then forwarded to the full City Council for consideration.
