In late 2009, the City Planning and Development Department integrated a dedicated implemenation program into its long-range planning activities. The Implementation Program is a collaborative effort between local community members and City staff with the aim of accomplishing key planning recommendations and building critical capacity within the local community.

Kansas Citians with diverse backgrounds and from all areas of the city, have invested countless hours in Kansas City's planning efforts. By facilitating public and private investments for specific projects, this program ensures that the recommendations of these plans are put into action.
