Emergencies can strike quickly with little or no warning. What would you do if your water, gas, electricity and phone service were cut off? What if you couldn’t get to the grocery store or doctor’s office for a few days? What if police, fire and ambulance services were so busy that they couldn’t get to you right away?
The Office of Emergency Management has developed information and tools to help you become more prepared to deal with the major disaster that we hope never happens, as well as the little emergencies that happen every day. Knowing what to do and having basic supplies on hand is an important step to reducing or elminating the effects of an emergency on ourselves and our community.
Through the workbook you will learn ways to get ready for an emergency, deal with it when it happens and wrap it up when it’s over.
